this is my digital scrapbook for sharing daily thoughts and musings, coding experiments, designs circulating my head + more!
movies:
the matrix: 10/10 LOVED, new fav for sure. really understand the hype now
two hands: fun and enjoyable
my beautiful laundrette: very cute, pleasant experience, nfsa doesn't really miss
trainspotting: again LOVED, been thinking about a lot since. i totally get the hype
nausicaa of the valley of the wind: loved! i just love animations and how they can create these beautiful and strange worlds that live action can't create, i get jealous that i can't exist in the worlds
party girl: i missed some bits of it but overall pleasant and easy watch
videos:
A Kind of Testament (2023) - Stephen Vuillemin - Remembers & Aycevee : recommended by ella, cool but very strange
music:
problem dog by dumbhead : has been on repeat since new years (2026), made even better when i saw them play in canberra, and chatted to them briefly after the gig, then randomly RAN INTO them at a party after the gig! did not expect them to be there, felt like i was in a movie
podcasts:
the revolution in iran : listened to all the parts, mostly at work, and i enjoyed it a lot. probably my fav rest is history episodes i have listened to yet.
serbia | the birthplace of civilisation : was really interesting but i found myself getting distracted (although i was at work so i can't really blame the podcast)
2026 ins:
liv and i were inspired by some spiked hairstyles we saw, so decided to spike my hair the other night. at first we struggled. but after 1 and a half youtube videos (and copious amounts of hairpray) we finally got the hang of it. this is what i looked like!
i'd definitely consider spiking my hair for a future event. but it would have to be a super special event because my poor scalp was hurting the next day and i think i breathed in an unhealthy amount of hairspray.
i am learning javascript so i can make cool designs and interactives with p5js and post them on this page! (just like the one below)
ant just gave me access to his scrimba account, so i will start using that to help me learn.
this interactive is very much based on this code (click here for code) . i made a few changes but the foundation is the same. when i'm learning a coding language, i find it helpful to go through and analyse other people's code, making sure i know what each line does. i am not taking credit for this code at all, it's a step in my learning process.
see what happens when you draw on the canvas! use the sliders to adjust the line thickness and number of symmetry lines.
(this is a bit tricky to do on the phone i'm sorry)
